As educators search for additional opportunities to advance classroom inclusion, many of today's top STEM solutions help students collaborate. Using class packs to supplement STEM instruction with individual EdTech tools, students can work independently on similar projects, share feedback with each other, and build communication skills as they get more comfortable with letting classroom technology drive group projects. While it's not necessarily the same as traditional group work, many of the STEM classroom kits on our store contain all the materials, accessories, and project guides students need to work independently, share ideas, and find classroom inspiration.

The class packs we offer on our store—available for many top STEAM items across all disciplines—usually come with everything students and teachers need. They're also viable in different instructional formats. The components often include the main product—usually between six and 30 units depending on the size of the bundle. Then, there are also various accessories, like chargers, project guides, and teacher materials. Plus, one key reason we recommend class packs is that students can use these materials in many educational settings.

So, the various classroom packs on our store complement the tools we think are best suited for today's students and their learning styles. The individual packs are great if teachers would prefer to have one tech tool to potentially share among themselves and students but the classroom packs allow teachers to provide most students—if not all—with a potentially 1:1 STEAM learning experience. They also encourage student-led learning and help them customize how they use classroom robots, MakerEd tools, and other STEAM solutions.

At the top of our list of class pack recommendations are the Cubetto STEM Bundle, the Ozobot Evo Classroom Kits, databot 2.0 10-pack, Finch Robot 2.0 Flock, and the Wonder Workshop Dash Tech Center Pack (among others). The Cubetto STEM Bundle includes 12 Cubetto coding robots for the classroom and corresponding accessories for students to use to explore coding in preschool while the Evo Classroom Kits come with materials for 12 or 18 students (two different size options) to get started with screen-free coding using color codes or digital programming in the OzoBlockly environment. The databot 2.0 Classroom 10-pack is among our new offerings and features the powerful data-collecting databot. It has 16-built in sensors, allowing students to capture everything from humidity levels to air pressure. Plus, the 10-pack includes all the accessories, like charging cables, lanyards, storage cases, and more.

Next, we have the Finch 2.0 Flock, which is also fairly new to our offerings. Featuring the Finch 2.0 Robot from BirdBrain Technologies, these bundles help educators facilitate in-class STEAM or coding in afterschool clubs. The Finch 2.0 is extremely versatile and this bundle comes with a bunch of extra accessories. These include micro:bit's (optional), a USB charging hub, a 5-pack marker set, and a carrying case. Using the Finch 2.0, students can begin coding in kindergarten with icon-based FinchBlox and continue through high school with Java. Finally, the Dash Tech Center Pack comes with 12 Dash Robots, Challenge Cards, a Curriculum Guide, and Class Connect access. There are also other, smaller Wonder Workshop class packs for teaching block coding in elementary school. These work great depending on class size and experience students have with robots in the classroom.

Besides these top options, other bundles that work well in STEAM education include the 3Doodler Create+ and Start Learning Packs, the Tello EDU Classroom Kits, and the Edison Robot Bundles. The 3Doodler kits come with the pens and teachers can easily distribute the project materials for collaborative learning. The same goes for the Tello EDU kits, though they require devices for programming the drones and following project guides. The Edison Robot class packs are also valuable since the materials are compact and students don't need devices. If they are using a device, however, the programming interfaces are accessible online. Finally, moving away from classroom robotics tools, the RobotLAB VR Expeditions 2.0 kits are amazing resources as well. With kits featuring up to 30 headsets and student accessories, teachers can lead immersive lessons and VR field trips while engaging students like never before.

And, our final few suggestions for class packs include the Makey Makey STEM Pack, the Cue Robot 12 Pack, the Terrapin Hive Bundles, the Root Robot Classroom Packs, the Strawbees STEAM Classroom Kit Bundle, and the Marty Robot V2 class packs of five, 10, 15, 30, or 50. With these bundles, there are so many opportunities to enhance STEM education at all grade levels—regardless of student skills. If you think that distributing class packs to create more equitable STEM opportunities is worthwhile, we’d certainly recommend these options.

Thanks to the supportive curricular materials, it's become easier to bring STEM opportunities to all students in larger classes.
