Though we’re still a few months away from the biggest EdTech conference on the schedule year after year, we’re still thinking about the 2020 ISTE Conference! That’s because we submitted a session proposal as part of ISTE’s People’s Choice process. Every year, they open up extra session proposals to anyone who was not selected during the main presentation submission window. The catch is that the presentations with the most votes are the only ones invited to present at the conference, so we need your help!

The title of our presentation is “Combining SEL, STEAM and MakerEd tech tools to increase students’ learning capacity.” If selected, we’ll be discussing the commonalities that STEAM and SEL have as well as how MakerEd tools help create learning experiences that combine the two. Specifically, maker tools have the potential to help educators connect the heads, hearts, and hands of students through authentic, hands-on projects they actually care about. So, if this is an important topic to you or something you have been meaning to learn more about, we encourage you to vote for our submission by clicking the link, creating or signing into your ISTE account, and casting your vote. Thank you! You can also vote for us in the FedEx Small Business Grant contest.
