We are pleased to announce we’ve awarded our tech grant for October to Josh Jennings, who’s a high school teacher in the Florence County School District 3! Josh helps head up their Panther CODE (Creating Opportunities for Developing Engineers) program after school, which was established to give some underrepresented students more exposure to STEM.

Joining eight previous STEM grant recipients for the calendar year of 2020, we have presented September’s award to Michellea Millis, an administrator with the BrownSTEM afterschool program that’s based in San Antonio, TX. She works with underrepresented African-American and Latinx students to help create STEM experiences and we’re excited to award her this grant!

We’ve transitioned into another new month, and that means we have some news regarding the awarding of our EdTech grant from last month. For this latest award, we’ve presented the grant to Carla Neely, who is a fourth and fifth grade STEM teacher at an all-girls school in Cleveland, Ohio—and she works with a lot of Title I students as

Jonathan Long is a middle school STEM teacher in the Eastern Lancaster County (PA) School District and a huge fan of using technology in instruction. Once again, we’re excited to share some news about the recipient of the Eduporium EdTech grant for the month of June! For this month’s award, we have chosen Sam Yancey, a gifted education teacher with the Haywood County School District in North Carolina! Sam is an avid lover of STEAM education and has used an extensive list of EdTech tools.

For the month of May, the award has been given to Jessica Herr, a teacher at the TC McSwain Elementary School in Staunton, Virginia! With the STEAM tools she’ll be receiving from us, Jessica has a pretty amazing project planned—one that involves drones, coding, bees, and plenty of collaboration for students.

This month, the award goes to Save Our Children Elyria, a big afterschool program in Elyria, Ohio! The group helps support many local K-12 students throughout the Elyria City Schools with various academic and nutritional assistance year round and, since learning has transitioned largely online, they’ve created a virtual makerspace for students!

For this past month, we are happy to present this award to Ed Mondragon, who runs the CTE department with the Granite School District in Salt Lake City, Utah! Like so many educators, Ed is now searching for ways to make remote learning as meaningful as possible for each of his students and for all the committed teachers he works
