In the webinar, we joined RobotLAB’s VP of Business Development, Cedric Vaudel, who guided the audience through a demo of using RobotLAB’s VR systems, content, and hardware. With the Google Expeditions VR app discontinuing back in 2021, students and teachers were searching for any suitable replacements. With it already serving as one of the best options in terms of hardware, the RobotLAB VR Expeditions 2.0 kits also provide amazing educational experiences in K–12 classrooms with software that’s immersive, vivid, and easy to use.

Throughout 2022, we’ve hosted an Eduporium webinar series and focused on some of the newer technologies we offer. In this series, we collaborated with a few of our manufacturer partners, who each certainly shared helpful insights on their classroom tech solutions. Though modeled after the Google Expeditions system, the Expeditions 2.0 VR kits feature new technical and instructional upgrades as the RobotLAB team designed them based on the feedback from thousands of educators. Plus, among the 700 Expeditions 2.0 field trips, teachers can find relevant content that aligns with their lesson plans, which we’ll explore more inside.

With the Expeditions 2.0 app, students can access extremely high-quality 4K images and, now, they can explore the same high-definition content in video format as well. Built to help make possible what was previously not possible for students to explore (pandemic or not), the Expeditions 2.0 platform works with existing VR content and the RobotLAB systems.

Educators can no longer access the Google Expeditions app, which is how they’d find engaging and immersive lessons, tours, and experiences for students. The good news, however, is that we’ve taken a big step in securing a replacement option. Within the last couple of weeks, we’ve finalized adding the RobotLAB VR Expeditions 2.0 kits to our store!
