The EdSTEM Home Pack from the makers of the Edison Robot serves as students’ expansion pack, helping them optimize experiential learning with Edison! With enough components for two groups of students, this hands-on kit is key in enriching instantly beneficial STEM experiences. It contains 115 interlocking building blocks, pegs, gears, two Edison Robots, and other parts and is 100 percent compatible with the Edison Robot and any other LEGO building system. Each kit is capable of helping students design and construct five different and incredibly unique ‘EdBuilds,’ all of which help illuminate key areas of STEM education. All the while, students are given the chance to revamp their engineering prowess, test their coding skills, and truly bring their innovative ideas to life using the simple but powerful technology in the EdSTEM Home Pack! It’s a true 21st century way to promote creative problem solving and encourage students to harness technology to build STEM skills and solve real-world problems.

The components in the EdSTEM Home Pack are designed to permit open-ended inventing as students design structures they can program. All the blocks snap right into the surface of the Edison Robot and allow children to revamp their creativity and design skills. The technology of the Edison itself remains unchanged as it still reads barcodes or responds to remote-control cues that students write themselves. As far as the options for building parts, EdCreate includes a number of gears, sockets, plastic LEGO-like pieces, and more. This kit includes 10 separate units of the EdSTEM Home Pack, providing students with plenty of possibilities for learning more about engineering, design thinking, and, once they’ve got something cool built, programming!
